I heard even more bad news this week as yet another one of my friends is dead. This time it was a bloke that I have known for many years in Great Yarmouth and originally from a place in England called Scunthorpe. He was the...
Ringmania Fashion Jewellery
Ringmania, which is owned by myself, Malcolm Scott, began at a small seaside town in England, way back in 1995. I have built many websites for the company in order to sell fashion jewellery and hair accessories. The first was a free website at Tripod featuring a range of body piercing jewelry in 1999. This site is still online although it is now inactive. Here is a screenshot of the homepage:

The first official Ringmania website
The next site was ringmania.co.uk which I created to sell a large range of fashion jewellery and hair accessories. This site has seen many changes since I really began trading online in the summer of 2000 and now features watches for men, women and children.

I managed to acquire ringmania.com on my birthday in the year 2002 and I used it mainly as an extension of the UK site. It wasn’t until earlier in 2018 when I updated it to sell gold and silver rings.
After I relocated to Thailand in 2004, Ringmania took a back seat to make way for other business ventures.
Selling jewellery in Ireland
I moved to Ireland with my family in 2015 to sell jewellery in West Cork. Things didn’t work out according to plan and I found myself selling ice pops on small farmer’s markets instead. It seems that everyone is selling jewellery of some kind in West Cork and consequently, it was hard to compete.
However, I was not finished with the jewellery business and while still in Ireland I purchased ringmania.ie which I set up to sell Celtic jewellery online.
The Irish weather soon put a stop to the ice pop business. We escaped the cold and returned to Phuket in 2016 to manage Seaside Cottages, A small beach resort in the quietest part of Phuket.
A great online ring store
Since then I have completely rebuilt the site and it has grown to become a Great Online Ring Store. In this blog you will find various comments about Ringmania and other sites written by myself, Malcolm Scott the owner and creator. It is really a look behind the scenes at Ringmania.
Here you can find various articles related to Ringmania including occasional tips and tricks that may help you with building and maintaining your own website or online business.
